NUMA – Where Time Grows ("NUMA", "we", "our") is designed to help families preserve and organize their memories over time.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

We collect your name and email address when you sign in with Apple or Google.
NUMA does not use traditional email/password authentication.
We store the content you create within the app, including:
- Photos
- Videos
- Notes
- Timeline events and related metadata
We collect limited technical data necessary to operate and secure the service, such as device and usage logs.
We do not collect data for advertising purposes.
We use your data solely to:
- Provide and operate the NUMA service
- Store and display your timeline content
- Maintain security and reliability
- Improve performance and stability
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
Data is securely stored using Supabase infrastructure.
Our database and media storage are hosted in the European Union, in Frankfurt, Germany (eu-central-1 region).
We rely on trusted third-party infrastructure providers strictly for hosting and technical operation of the service.
Your data is private by default.
Content is only shared with other users if you explicitly invite them to your NUMA.
We do not share personal data with advertisers.
We may share limited data with service providers strictly necessary to operate NUMA:
- Supabase — database, media storage and authentication (European Union)
- Apple and Google — sign-in and app distribution
- Google Firebase — usage analytics and push notifications
- Sentry — crash and error diagnostics (personal data removed)
- RevenueCat — subscription management
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your content remains stored for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your content is deleted with it.
- Media you delete is permanently purged within 30 days
- Crash diagnostics are kept for approximately 90 days
- Usage analytics are kept for 2 months
- Backups are retained for our hosting provider's rolling window
You can delete your account directly in the app, or at any time by contacting us. See account deletion.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction or deletion
- Restrict or object to processing
- Request data portability

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données, autoriteprotectiondonnees.be).
NUMA is intended to be used by adults — parents, legal guardians and the family members they invite.
A family space often relates to a child. The content about that child — including their first name, date of birth, photos and videos — is created and shared by the adults who set up the space, not by the child. Children are not users of NUMA and we do not collect personal data directly from them.
If you believe content concerning a child has been shared without the necessary authority, contact us at [email protected] and we will act on it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Significant changes will be communicated through the app or website.
